Espaitec has 12 companies certified as national innovative companies
Grupo Gimeno, a firm from Castellón with more than 35 companies from different areas like the integral water cycle, environmental management and telecommunications, among others, is virtually linked with Espaitec and has been awarded the National Innovative Company Certificate by the Spanish National Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE) via Espaitec, the Science and Technology Park of the Universitat Jaume I.
This distinguishing accomplishment, awarded by APTE’s independent evaluating committee, stresses the value of the business group opting for constant evolution and innovation with its processes by creating very relevant technological projects in its different business areas.
Grupo Gimeno has technology firms, such as: IoTsens, which specialises in vertical, scalable and interoperable Internet of Things solutions to compile and transfer data that connect the physical and digital worlds; UVAX, one of the most innovative companies in solutions for Smart Cities, Communications and Smart Grids; Giditek, which works on new businesses based on the digital revolution to be applied to all the group’s business conglomerate.
APTE states that the aim of this initiative is to “create the biggest register of Spanish innovative companies and organisations to make them as visible as possible, and to provide them added value in order to facilitate them certification as innovative organisations and the capacity to demonstrate it to any organisation requesting this certification”.
The certificate was obtained after Espaitec presented Grupo Gimeno’s candidacy via APTE, and after verifying that it had met all the necessary requirements. Such requirements include having received public financing in the last 3 years, having R&D&I management system certification in line with Standard UNE 166.002 or holding collaboration agreements with universities.
This certificate, which will be presented on the Grupo Gimeno website to be consulted by organisations and companies from different national and international areas, will also be registered by public access to APTE’s Blockchain network so that if anyone wishes, they can consult the company’s innovation-related information.
