This encounter is organised by the UJI Office for Cooperation in Research and Technological Development (OCIT) and the UJI Fundació General, and forms part of the series of S2B & B2S Transfer 2017 events to encourage technology and knowledge transfer.
Marketing and mass media are sectors in which the commercial applicability of virtual and augmented reality has been more profusely unfolded. However, their use is being encouraged in sectors like education, training, health, industry and robotics, where it is expected to considerably develop, and lead to interesting and novel products and services in the next few years.
The objective of this event is to show the technologies offered in the virtual and augmented reality developed and commercialised by, on the one hand, research groups at the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) by generating virtual and augmented reality environments in very different applications, such as a smart cities, serious gaming, clinical psychology and robotics; and, on the other hand, by espaitec-linked companies in sectors like architecture, gastromarketing, tourism or entertainment.
This initiative, which is open to the whole university community and the business fabric of Castellón interested in virtual and augmented reality, and intends to identify and facilitate processes to transfer knowledge and technology among UJI research groups and the companies linked to the espaitec ecosystem, and to make known the trends, novelties and research to the business fabric in the province of Castellón in both technology types.
This event will be free of charge and will take place on Tuesday 19 September at 10:00h in the Multiple Purpose Hall in the espaitec 2 building. It is necessary to register beforehand on the following registration form. At the end of this event, attendees will be able to enjoy a networking cocktail where synergies can be promoted and collaboration and/or business opportunities can be created.
