This session will be held on Thursday 5 May from 16:30h to 18:00h in a hybrid format. The following people will participate: Víctor A. Villagrà from the Circle of Technologies Foundation for Defence and Security; Luis Hidalgo, a member of the Institutional Relations Department of INCIBE; Juan Carlos García, head of the SOC and Country Manager of Sofistic in Spain.
On Thursday 5 May, Espaitec is organising a Tardeo Tecnológico about cybersecurity in the business world, when different organisations that specialise in this matter will analyse how cybercrime impacts companies from the strategic, operational, technological and training points of view.
The main risks that the business sector faces, and the technological trends and tools available to protect infrastructures, will be closely looked at. Besides, the main security measures that companies must set up and the knowledge needed to reduce the impact of possible cyberattacks on their computer systems will be presented.
Víctor A. Villagrà will participate. He is the Director of the Master of Cybersecurity of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, a representative of the National Network of Excellence for Cybersecurity Research and a member of the Circle of Technologies Foundation for Defence and Security. He will make known the different cybersecurity training areas and explain the necessary cybersecurity competences that must be acquired.
Luis Hidalgo will also take part. He is a member of the Institutional Relations Department at the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE). He will explain INCIBE’s main work lines with firms, the free resources and tools that can be used, the 017 cybersecurity emergences line, and other various practices that have emerged since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Finally, Juan Carlos García will attend. He is the head of the Security Operation Centre (SOC) and the Country Manager of Sofistic in Spain, a cybersecurity unit that belongs to the company Cuatroochenta based at Espaitec. He will explain why automation and Artificial Intelligence are key for detecting and responding to threats, and will present successful cases.
To attend this session, which will be held from 16:30h to 18:00h in a hybrid face-to-face format in the Multipurpose Hall at Espaitec 2 and online via Zoom, it is necessary to register beforehand.
Tardeo Tecnológico
Tardeo Tecnológico is a novel format promoted by Espaitec and comes with InnoBar, the Park’s Beer & Business Networking activity. This event aims to revitalise business encounters in the Castellón Province to help to identify opportunities and to encourage innovative collaborations. The event will present «technological pills» to start debates with the people who participate. This initiative is supported by the Regional Valencian Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana.
