On Tuesday 12 May, we organised a webinar as part of Recicla’t Espaitec, a series of training conferences and actions designed to offer the business and entrepreneurial fabric up-to-date training. This time, a webinar was given by Jorge Sánchez López, the managing partner of Mobiliza Academy, who indicated the keys to project management.

The themes dealt with were, among others: organising and managing work; the importance of project management tools; the most efficient methods to follow up projects; coordination and corporate transparency; promoting innovation and effective decision making; adapting business management in times of crisis.

During this seminar, successful projects were explained, as were some failures, in recent years, and in both public and private sectors. “Most failure projects take place because sequential engineering and predictive management are applied to both the acquisition process (requirements, hiring, follow-up and delivery) and project management to products that do not need forecasting guarantees as much as fast response and flexibility to work in business environments that rapidly change and evolve”, said Jorge Sánchez López when talking about some failed project management examples.

Working with agile predictive methodologies

This webinar went through the various project management methodologies, and the speaker stressed the importance of using agile predictive work methodologies by initially indicating a percentage: a new hybrid model. He also highlighted the need to know the most suitable models depending on the ultimate objective, and of selecting the most adequate option for every situation because this decision may imply very high competitive advantages, especially in today’s uncontrollable times.

The speaker gave an up-to-date vision of project management by centring on how companies and institutions can adapt to changing situations in their surroundings. The session started with a talk and ended with a participative workshop in which attendees shared their doubts and remarks about the proposals set out during the presentation.

This diffusion project is financed by the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana. Sessions are open and online that aim to update the business and entrepreneurial fabric’s knowledge by contributing to create more competitive and innovative projects.
