On Monday 17 December 2018 at 19:00h, the Menador espai cultural holds an event to reflect on the benefits of establishing more dialogue between innovative companies and society to move forward towards innovation that responds to citizens’ needs, values and expectations. This event, which ends the project «Towards responsible innovation: Science Parks as a driver of change», includes the conference «Irresponsible innovations? Ethics and values in technological development» led by Raúl Tabarés, a researcher of TECNALIA Research & Innovation, plus a round table to look at moving forward towards responsible research in Science Parks beginning with Espaitec as applied experience.

David Cabedo, the deputy Vice-Rector of Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the UJI, and Domingo García Marzá, Professor of Ethics at the UJI, will open the events. This project, which is supported by the Regional Ministry of Education, Research, Culture and Sport of the Generalitat Valenciana, has been developed by the Vice-Rectorate of Research and Transfer of the UJI through the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit to promote responsible research and innovation (RRI) at Espaitec to, from this point, extend it to the rest of the Valencian innovation ecosystem.

In this event, Raúl Tabarés participates, who is a researcher from TECNALIA, a technological development and research centre located in San Sebastián (Spain) and a reference in Europe. Raúl Tabarés conducts his research in the Innovation Strategies area in various regional, national and international projects. The conference is followed by a round table in which the following people will participate: Juan Antonio Bertolín, Espaitec’s Management Director, Elsa González, a teacher of Ethics at the UJI, along with innovative businesspeople from the project, Hugo A. Ferrer, the CEO of SemanticBots, and David Hernández, Head of Communication at Cuatroochenta.
