Changing the way in which the world moves and stores its goods is the objective of the new virtual company linked to Espaitec. With its Head Office in the town of Almazora, Orbel has more than 40 years experience behind it. To a great extent, its link to Espaitec responds to it constantly striving for innovation and applying new technologies to the field of logistics, training and robotics.
In recent years, this firm has added technological solutions to its offer, among which its dedication to robotics, automation and consultancy stands out. One of its noteworth innovative projects is the development of a telemetry system to learn the real-time state that machinery is in, which also helps optimise resources and avoids accidents. Another of its projects is the development of affordable lithium-based accumulators, specialised for warehouse machinery. This solution will enhance the sustainability of logistic parks and cut maintenance costs.
Forming part of the Espaitec park will enable Orbel to strengthen its relations with the Universitat Jaume I by developing the talent of its students and collaborating in research projects. This company presently has 40 staff members, some of whom have been trained on the Riu Sec Campus. “We are certain that, thanks to our link with Espaitec, many innovative projects will come about, and by collaborating with its other linked companies, we will change the way the world moves and stores its goods”, concludes Luís Sorribes, the Director of Technological Projects at Orbel.
