On Thursday 12 December, the Universitat Jaume I–Vinaroz City Council 2019 Transfer Event took place on the Vinalab premises in Vinaroz. This event was well-attended by both professionals from companies north of the province, and by UJI research groups. Its main objective was to hold meetings all morning between professionals from companies and research groups from the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) to get to know each other and to explore joint collaboration possibilities.
This Transfer Event was presented by the Mayor of Vinaroz, Guillem Alsina, along with the Deputy Vice-Rector of Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the UJI, David Cabedo, and the Manager of the Cooperation Office for Technological research and Development of the UJI, Ismael Rodrigo. The Regional Councillor of Ecologic Transition, Open Government and Digital Innovation, Hugo Romero was also present. This event forms part of the Project of Knowledge Transfer Antennae, carried out by the General Universitat Jaume I Foundation, and financed by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE).

Finally, after opening the event came the turn of the various networkings (working in networks and bilateral meetings among professionals from companies and research groups). The participanting companies were Alespri, Ineos Composite Hispania, Gil Comes, Lagrama, Lamidecor, Alfe Vinaròs, FKR Química, Benihort, Control-on and Climaestrat. The themes covered were, for instance, the integrated management of Polymers and Advanced Materials, Ceramics, Glass and Nanotechnology, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Waste Engineering, Electricity, Electronics and Automatics, Refrigeration and Climatisation, Big Data, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Environmental Inorganic Chemistry and Ceramic Materials, Sustainable Chemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry, Processes Reengineering, Business Digitalisation and Balanced Scorecards.
