The Universitat Jaume I and the Vinaroz Town Council are organising a Transfer Event for 12 December at 09:00h in the Vinalab of the capital of Baix Maestrat. The main aim of this event is for professionals from companies located in Vinaroz and research groups from the Universitat Jaume I to get to know each other and to explore joint collaboration possibilities.
This event forms part of the Project of Knowledge Transfer Antennae, carried out by the General Universitat Jaume I Foundation, and financed by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE).
Participants in the Transfer event
It will be opened by the Mayor of Vinaroz, Guillem Alsina, and the Vice-Rector of Research and Transfer of the Universitat Jaume I, Jesús Lancis. They will be accompanied by the Manager of the Cooperation Office for Technological research and Development of the Universitat Jaume I, Ismael Rodrigo, who will explain the present the methodology of the event and provide interesting information about calls for public aid for R+D+i and for doing PhDs in companies. This is the formula which has proven efficient in contributing to the industrial fabric’s competitiveness and internationalisation, retaining talent and leaving PhD students in good conditions to undertake R+D+i business projects. PhD programmes run in companies encourage strategic research projects being undertaken in the business domain.
Some companies from the north of the province are stressed, like Grupo Gil Comes, Lamidecor, FKR Química, Rimobel, Alfe Vinaròs, Benihort, Ineos Composites Hispania or Hermo S.L., which will hold 30-minute meetings with groups of researchers from the Universitat Jaume I in different knowledge areas, such as Manufacturing Engineering, Big Data, New Imaging Technologies, Waters, Refrigeration and Climatisation, Coatings, Polymers, Environmental Inorganic Chemistry, Agricultural Pests or Processes Reengineering.
