Six espaitec firms presented their technology to the Commercial Attaché of the Israeli Embassy in Spain, which included biotechnology, M2M communications, artificial intelligence applied to industry, medical image viewers, sensors to optimise water resources and engineering specialised in hybridising technologies.

On 29 January, six firms linked to espaitec presented their technology to the Commercial Attaché of the Israeli Embassy in Spain, Ms. Yifat Alon Perel. This initiative was organised by Avalnet, the Association of Internet Firms and Professionals in the Valencian Community, whose aim was to make this technology undertaken in the Valencian Community known to Israel, a country which has gone from a basically agricultural country to the main world investor in R&D per inhabitant in just over a decade. It is also the third nation with the largest number of firms in Nasdaq, with only the USA and China ahead of it.

The Israeli Embassy’s interest centred on the Internet, Smart Cities and Security/Defence areas. Among the business projects presented, only 20 or so were selected for the elevator pitch before the Embassy. Of these, six were projects promoted by espaitec-linked firms: AWD, Biótica, Ceteck, Mas Ingenieros, Soluciones Cuatroochenta and Xop Sensoring Water.

At the end of this initiative, the Embassy requested all the firms to send an executive summary-type presentation indicating the firm’s name, the activity sector and the contacts that could be established with Israeli companies.
