The jury, made up of business and academic experts from the ceramics sector, has decided to present the Golden Alpha Awards for the machinery sector to the firm KERAJET for developing a K9 Solidjet head, which helps arrange solid materials on ceramic substrates by generating a distinguishing ceramic product.
The firm Digit-S, one of the nine participants in the Castellón Global Program, an initiative carried out by espaitec and the Castellón Council Offices to promote the business growth of innovative firms in the province of Castellón, has won a Golden Alpha Award for developing a specific colour management software for ceramics which accomplishes tone stability throughout production by controlling all the variables of the equipment which come into play in the decoration process.
Apart from these two espaitec-linked firms, other firms have received awards: Diamond Glass from the bathroom and kitchen equipment sector; Ferro Spain, from the machinery sector for developing coloured inks with water-based ceramic effects for digital applications and, finally, Unicer has shared a Golden Alpha Award with Digit-S for developing software.
