The application has been developed by the virtual company linked to espaitec, Inoibérica, and it gave live demonstrations on the Provincial Tourism Employers Association of Castellón stand during Fitur 2015. This app is available free of charge for Android and iOS, and it allows tourists travelling around the province of Castellón to enjoy visits as if they formed part of a game, where they can take part in adventures on different themes of interest, and can opt for prizes in the hotel and restaurant sector that are linked to the project.

The new version of this app includes some 200 adventures, which allow the same number of games to be played all over the province of Castellón, which is a 25% increase compared to its initial version.

This tool combines abundant audiovisual information in mobile phones and different physical tests located in the towns participating in this project.
It enables tourists to live adventures about history, gastronomy or a town’s culture in these places of interest. When tourists download the application in their mobile phones, the system offers them the chance to complete a series of adventures in different towns, according to what most interests them, their tastes or even the time they have available. Once downloaded, the app guides tourists all round the town visited and asks them to do different tests in which their mobile phones act as an interface where state-of-the-art technologies are combined, such as augmented reality or visual search.

Juan José Ortiz, the company’s CEO, stressed how this tourist gamification proposal has been well received at the trade fair in various destinations, like Valencia, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Pontevedra, Burgos, Murcia, Tarragona or Teruel, among others, which have shown an interest in importing the model developed in the province of Castellón.
