The Science, Technology and Business Park (espaitec) of the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) and the Valencian Business Angels Network (CVBan) have organised this workshop to make private investment in startups a professional undertaking, to make known the elements comprising the process to invest in innovative business projects, to provide practical training for analysing projects and closing operations, to promote networking among potential Business Angels, to dispel fears of debuting investors to invest and to favour the creation of Business Angels investment networks.

This workshop has been divided into several training sessions by expert private investors like Pedro Bisbal, Paco Negre or Juan Manuel Pérez Rodrigo. They are all CVBan members and have ample experience in private investments and financial training for non-financiers.

It will commence on Wednesday 18 September in the afternoon in the espaitec 1 building with an explanation of the keys to spot investment opportunities. On Tuesday 24 September, attention will be paid to the legal and tax aspects to be considered in an investment process, which will complete the training part of the workshop on Thursday 26 September, with a session including economical-financial models in which attendees can participate. On 16 October, the Forum on Investment in Energy Efficiency and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) will take place, in which businesspeople from the city of Castellón from any of these sectors can participate, where they can present their initiative and request financing.

This workshop addresses all those interested in private financing for innovative business projects with high added value: working or retired businesspeople, investment portfolio agents, representatives of family offices, debuting or experienced business angels, directors of firms, counsellors with customer portfolios who wish to diversify assets, consultancy firms, financial analysts and private banking professionals, among others.
