Nela Gomez, Head of European Projects at the Castellón Chamber of Commerce, who has ample experience in supporting the internationalisation of SMEs, is on a placement as a pioneer at espaitec, the Scientific, Technological and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I in Castellon. This action is framed within the Pioneers in Action Programme.

This is an information exchange initiative that forms part of the Climate KIC project, whose objective is to create a new generation of top specialists, entrepreneurs and legislators to achieve a low-carbon economy in Europe.

While her placement is underway, the actions carried out centre on obtaining synergies and increasing the relationship between both organisations; increasing collaboration in various networks which both organisations form part of; exchanging knowledge to improve companies’ competitiveness, accelerating their access to international markets; detecting new opportunities in the energy efficiency sector to facilitate the access of companies from our province; and finally, transferring the acquired knowledge to the companies.

By means of this programme, several selected professionals will be on placements, first in local companies and then in European ones, with a view to detecting possible innovative actions which the companies and organisations that welcome them may undertake in energy and climate change issues.
