A strategic alliance with a leading business group has resulted in the development of an app for one of its store chains and opens up a wide range of business possibilities in emerging markets. This Spanish firm, called Cuatroochenta, develops mobile applications and advanced software and has associated with the Tagarópulos Group to set up an office in Panama, one of the main business platforms in Latin America, in order to start setting up business in this continent.

Cuatroochenta has already developed tailor-made projects for important Spanish companies like Acciona, Faes Farma, Facsa, 3Dicom, Smart Leges or EMT Valencia, and also creates its own apps. Indeed, the application of commercial management in tablets, developed for Faes Farma, the fourth pharmaceutical company in Spain, led it to make its first contact with Latin America since it first set up in Colombia.

The development of an app for the ZAZ stores chain of the Panamanian group, will start serving this Autumn, which will allow it to optimise its members group programme, and has been a definitive step in setting up in a region with different countries going through a growth phase, such as Mexico or Colombia. The Cuatroochenta Latam Team is led by César Tauste from Castellón (with 10 years’s experience in international company management). This team is made up of various technicians, like Ainara Pérez from Valencia, responsible for online marketing. The office is physically operating as of this week in the BMW Plaza building in Panama´s financial centre.

Cuatroochenta is a young firm located in the espaitec Technology Park of the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón and has received several awards for innovation. In 2013 it is becoming one of the most outstanding firms in the Spanish apps market. It is characterised by its tailor-made developments that help improve work processes in the industrial sector, but also accumulates experiences in mobility (EMT Valencia), tourism, sport (Villarreal FC), culture and communication, apart from its own developments, like 480interactive (a tool that converts Adobe InDesign publications into interactive apps for tablets) and Hoteles con Encanto (Hotels with Charm).
