This morning, Espaitec (the Science, Technology and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I), in collaboration with Ceteck, addressed the development of smartphone applications and multiplatform webs during the conference in which GeneXus in Castellón was presented.
This conference, to which some 50 professionals attended, served to make known the two main advantages of this new tool in detail. Firstly, increased productivity in organisations as GeneXus helps cut the time required to develop applications 4-fold. Secondly, it is able to develop several platforms and environments with a single tool for both smartphones and webs.
When considering the profile of the public attending, mostly staff members from internal departments of computer science development for firms, consultancy firms developing applications for mobiles and webs, and students and UJI staff, the conference used a practical format based on demos and practical cases. Similarly, Jesús Busquet, the director of the Computing Department of Grespania, finished this event with a successful case: applying this tool has led to cut costs and improve efficiency.
