In the morning, it presented the services and solutions as practical examples of use. In the afternoon, the companies interested in migrating their data to the cloud were able to interact with Amazon experts, researchers, teachers and users to solve doubts and to analyse specific cases of use. This session was free of charge. It addressed professionals who wished to start Cloud Computing and those companies interested in migrating their data to the cloud.

This event started at 09:00h in the Assembly Room of the Postgraduate Building of Universitat Jaume I with a networking breakfast. At 10:00h the first talk took place, “Amazon web services, introduction and journey to the cloud”, given by Enrique Lopiz, which offered an overview of cloud computing principles, with real use cases. Then Andrés Marzal, Manager of the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) and a Computer Languages and Systems teacher, explained the UJI’s migration to the cloud. Finally, Enrique Lopiz gave a technical talk to present the cloud services offered by Amazon.

In the afternoon, the session entitled “Bring your own project” was held, in which companies and entrepreneurs from Castellón could solve doubts and discover services that adapt to them migrating their data to the cloud.

The collaborators of this event were espaitec, along with support from the Generalitat Valenciana (Regional Valencian Government), in the technology-science diffusion actions undertaken in the Science Parks of the Valencian Community.
