Know the possibilities that technology offers, analyse processes in different production environments and acquire skills to head digital development in a company. These are the objectives of the new Master in Digital Development Management (DDM) that the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) offers through FUE-UJI and the technology-based company Cuatroochenta to jointly promote responding to an ever-growing demand for professional profiles in their environment and also internationally. This University Master will be taught online from 22 October 2018 to July 2019 and takes a practical approach. Experienced top management professionals and university professors will participate in it.
«The aim of this Master is to train the professionals in charge of digital development in companies in line with business, customer and employee parameters; today a highly demanded figure, but not one found in the labour market», explains Miguel Ángel Moliner, the Academic Director of the DDM Master and a university professor in Marketing at the UJI. He also stresses that «the UJI is a top university in management teaching and research, as demonstrated by it being included in the Top 500 in the ARWU World Ranking of Shanghai in 2018 ».
The co-founder and CEO of Cuatroochenta, Alfredo R. Cebrián, indicates that the profile of the professionals or students which this post-graduate training addresses «is a fan of technology and naturally curious, whose speciality will be to identify and analyse technological opportunities, and to manage projects, without having to be an expert in any technology in particular». Studying this Master will allow students «to know the outlines, basic architectures and technology trends that appear today on the agendas of company managers» Alfredo adds, who is also a teacher of this Master with only 25 places for students.
Staff with international experience
For terms like Big Data, artificial intelligence, fintech or blockchain to be practically applied in a company’s processes with measurable objectives, this Master will be taught in Spanish by experts with long-standing careers in private companies. Among these teachers, we find Enrique Asiaín, who stands out for his 30 years experience in managing technological innovation projects in the banking and telecommunication sectors (Oracle, Microsystems, NCR); Adriana Molano, a leader in opinions on innovation issues in Colombia after directing projects in different Latin American countries; David Gobert-Cézanne, who since the past century has been dedicated to investigate and apply technology trends in strategic areas like the ceramics sector.
The online classes to be taught via the UJI’s Virtual Classroom will offer students all the necessary materials (manuals, videos, conferences on streaming, supplementary activities and a final test for each subject) will be completed with two master classes taught by the Chief Digital Officer of the Spanish El País newspaper, Noemí Ramírez, and the Head of Operations of Nexus Integra, a company that specialises in Industry 4.0, Salvador Herrando. Both will be in the Assembly Room of the Foundation Universitat Jaume I-Company (FUE-UJI).
