The workshop has provided research staff with key knowledge in economic management for the creation of companies based on research results.
Espaitec, through the program UJISpinoff, has held a financial and accounting training workshop for research staff at the Universitat Jaume I. This initiative also aims to support UJI research groups that are considering transferring their technology and knowledge to the market by creating a spin-off company.
The consulting UN-EM, specializing in the transfer of research results and innovation processes, led the session, in which participants worked in two sections. First, key concepts for financial planning for a spin-off were addressed, such as financial needs analysis, tools for evaluating it, and available funding sources. In addition, the second part of the workshop included practical work on calculating financial needs and preparing an abbreviated economic-financial plan.
