With this event, a cycle of S2B & B2S transfer sessions between UJI research groups and the business community of Castellón begins.
The amount of data we handle is continually growing and the ability to collect, store and analyze it immediately has become one of the main technological challenges for companies and institutions on an international scale. The Office of Cooperation in Research and Technological Development (OCIT) of the UJI and the Scientific, Technological and Business Park (Espaitec) of the UJI organize on Tuesday, April 11 in the multipurpose room of the Espaitec 2 building a day where you can learn about the entire range of research and solutions big data developed in the Jaume I University of Castellón.
The event, open to the entire Castellón university community and business community interested in big data, has a double objective. On the one hand, promote the transfer of knowledge and technology between UJI research groups and Espaitec companies. On the other hand, make the business community of the province of Castellón aware of the trends, developments and research developed in big data. Throughout the day we will know the different approaches, capabilities and techniques offered by the UJI research groups for the collection, processing and exploitation of massive data in applications of business interest: big data, fintech and industry 4.0. In addition, Espaitec companies will present innovative solutions developed and marketed applied to device connectivity, smart cities or the evolution of big data dashboards, among others.
On behalf of the Universitat Jaume I, the event will feature the participation of prominent researchers. Rafael Berlanga Llavori, Professor of the Department of Computer Languages and Systems at the UJI and coordinator of the Temporal Knowledge Bases research group, will talk about the value of big data. José Salvador Sánchez Garreta, Professor at the Institute of New Image Technologies (INIT) and coordinator of the Pattern Analysis and Learning research group, he will explain the latest research on analysis, evaluation and prediction of financial risks using machine learning methods. José Antonio Heredia Álvaro, Professor of the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Design and member of the Manufacturing Engineering research group, he will talk about developments in production planning in Industry 4.0.
Regarding the Espaitec companies, the CEO of TheLogicValue Lorenzo Garcia He will explain his experience selling big data solutions to large banking entities. Javier Muñoz Ferrara, Software Manager IoTsens, will talk about innovative ways to process massive sensor networks for big data. Mario Catalan, CIO of Zeus-Smart Visual Data, will present a revolutionary dashboard solution and Daniel Pecos, Director of the IT Department of Nayar Systems, will present solutions industrial machine learning.
