This Monday the presentation of the Neodys project was made by Molecular Sustainable Solutions, the spin-off company of the Universitat Jaume I and which is part of the Espaitec Family

The presentation of the project Neodys was carried out in podcast, an event that was inaugurated by david cabedo, vice-rector for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Dissemination, and for Juan A. Bertolin, director of Espaitec, and Carlos Estevez, co-founder and CEO of Molecular. Estévez presented this innovative project that promises transform the disinfection and sterilization landscape. For its part, Eduardo García-Verdugo, also co-founder of Molecular and researcher at the Universitat Jaume I, explained the nature and achievements of technology in the field of sustainable chemistry.

The technology developed by Molecular represents a milestone in the sterilization industry, marking the first significant chemical innovation in 165 years. The technology Neodys is positioned as a revolutionary solution that addresses the urgent need for disinfection and sterilization without compromising effectiveness, safety or the environment.

One of the highlights of Neodys es que eliminates the need to use carcinogenic, mutagenic and explosive disinfection and sterilization agents. This achievement not only represents an important technological advance, but also promotes a safer, healthier and more sustainable environment. The disruptive science behind Neodys has the potential to profoundly transform the disinfection industry, as demonstrated by its focus on avoiding the generation of plastic packaging waste. Neodys constitutes a milestone in the history of chemistry and marks the beginning of a new era in the field of sustainable disinfection and safe sterilization with important implications for healthcare, the food industry, pharmacy and biotechnology.

Molecular's success not only represents an achievement for its founders and the research group Sustainable and Supramolecular Chemistry (QSS), lead by Eduardo Garcia-Verdugo y Victor Sans, but also a inspiring example of how university research can be translated into concrete solutions that address real-world challenges and generate positive impact in society. In this context, the support of UJI.>LAB program has been key in the path towards the creation of a technology-based spin-off. This program, designed for promote proof of concept projects and improve the conditions for transfer to the market of technologies developed at the UJI, has provided the strategic support and resources necessary for the development and consolidation of Molecular as a leading company in its field.

Molecular has started collaborations with the health sector to carry out demonstration projects of its technology while launching a financing round to accelerate your entry into the market.
