The five science parks of the Valencian public universities appoint Pedro Carrasco, director of the Science Park of the University of Valencia, as the new president of the Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV).
La Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV), of which it is part podcast, has appointed as new president Peter Carrasco, Director of Scientific Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV), who will hold the position until 2027. The appointment was formalized during the annual meeting of the board of directors, held at the Gandía campus of the Polytechnic University of València (UPV).
In the words of Carrasco, "It's an honor to take over from Tonia Salinas, managing director of the Elche Science and Technology Park (PCUMH), and take on the challenge of representing and defending the interests of the companies, organizations, and research institutes that make up the five science parks in the Valencian Community. We will continue working to highlight the value they bring to the environment and society, fostering the retention of talent in our region.".
During the meeting, it was agreed that the vice presidency would fall to the Alicante Science Park, while the secretariat and treasury will be assumed by the Miguel Hernández University Science Park (PCUMH) of Elche. The meeting also served to approve the previous year's accounts, review the main activities carried out by the parks, and address strategic lines of action for the coming years.
The Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV)
La Network of Valencian Science Parks It is made up of the five science parks linked to the Valencian public universities: Espaitec, Parc Científic i Tecnològic de la Universitat Jaume I de Castelló; the Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche; the Science Park of the University of Valencia; the Polytechnic City of Innovation of the Polytechnic University of Valencia; and the Alicante Science Park – University of Alicante.
The main objective of this network is Promote regional economic development through innovation, strengthening the competitiveness of the companies and knowledge institutions that host the Parks. Likewise, the rePCV promotes a diversified, sustainable business network committed to social responsibility.
