This week it took place in the Scientific Park of the University of Alicante the last strategic meeting of 2012 of those responsible for the Network of Valencian Science Parks. The objective, firstly, to analyze the milestones achieved in this year and, secondly, to plan the objectives and actions to be carried out for 2013. With the aim of improving the networking of the five Parks linked to the rePCV, part of the work sessions had the participation of Francisco Berjón, President of the Basque Country Parks Network, and José Manuel Nogales, Managing Director of the Álava Technology Park, who, through real cases and years of experience working in networks with Basque parks, highlighted networking as a strategic need for Science and Technology Parks in relation to all the agents of society to whom they respond.
The event on November 20 also served to present different computer tools for technological transfer and surveillance at an international level. First of all, Jose M. Valero introduced SEIMED, part of the network Enterprise Europe Network which offers its services to small and medium-sized companies in the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia. Its objective is to help SMEs develop their full potential and innovative capacity through internationalization, technology transfer and access to financing. Secondly, the Virtual Observatory for Technology Transfer (OVTT) was presented, which with the platform www.ovtt.org It collects content and tools for technology transfer and innovation for Ibero-American companies and researchers. The tool allows you to know, systematize and use strategic information about any sector and its current technological development through competitive intelligence.
Finally, several work sessions took place where some of the milestones to be achieved during 2013 were marked, such as creating a business directory on the rePCV platform. www.repcv.net, analyze the possibility of offering network services and facilities for companies located in the five parks or increasing the presence of the rePCV on social networks, among others.
