The gala of the "VII rePCV Awards" The event was held this Friday, November 7th, in the Multipurpose Room of the Espaitec 2 building at the Universitat Jaume I, bringing together prominent representatives from the public, academic, and business sectors of the Valencian Community. The event began with a welcome address by Juan Antonio Bertolin, director of Espaitec; Francis Xavier Sogorb, Deputy Director General for Advancement of the Digital Society and Artificial Intelligence GVA; and Peter Carrasco, president of the Valencian Science Parks Network. The session continued with the presentation of the awards in the category «Business-University Collaboration» by Marisa Flor, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UJI; and Francis Xavier Sogorb, Deputy Director General for Advancement of the Digital Society and Artificial Intelligence GVA, awarding the prize to Sacyr SL, linked to Scientific Park of the University of Alicante, and the runners-up to Tourism Intelligence SL, linked to Scientific Park of the University of Valencia, and Abervian, a company linked to podcastThe award for Sacyr has been accepted by Domingo Zarzo, Director of Strategic Projects of the company, which has stood out for being a leading company in the management of the integral water cycle, specializing in the financing, design, construction, operation and maintenance of large water treatment projects internationally, in countries such as Spain, Australia, Chile, Algeria, Oman or Israel.
Finally, the "Special mention for innovation in climate events", which has been delivered by Francis Xavier Sogorb, Deputy Director General for Advancement of the Digital Society and Artificial Intelligence GVA, to Innova Grid SL, a recently established company located in podcastThe award has been presented to David Gonzalez y Sara gonzalez, responsible for the company, which has stood out for developing digital resilience and alternative energy systems, such as integrated energy and backup connectivity solutions in home automation applications, information and communication systems for individuals and companies.
