Companies linked to the R&D&I ecosystem of Valencian public universities will be eligible for recognition in the categories "Spin-off Award," "Start-up Award," "Business-University Collaboration Award," and, as a new feature, there will be a "Special Mention for Innovation in Climate-Related Events."
La Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV)) calls for the seventh edition of the «rePCV Awards» with the objective of recognize and reward the activity of entrepreneurial projects and business initiatives based on their growth, innovative nature, business strategy and contribution to the environment. The seventh edition of the "rePCV Awards" is coordinated by podcastThe awards ceremony will be held on November 7th at the park. The competition includes three categories and a special mention: «Spin-off Award», «Start-up Award», «Business-University Collaboration Award», and as a novelty, a "Special Mention for Innovation in the Face of Climate Events"In this seventh edition, each category will have one winner and up to two runners-up in each category, except for the special mention, where only one award will be given.
Companies that receive the award in each of the three categories and recognition in the special mention will be entitled to a rreport/interview in the Economy magazine 3 about the winners and the gala of the "VII rePCV Awards", which will be published in January 2026.
The initiative is integrated into the framework of the agreements that since the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism The five science parks of the public universities of the Valencian Community have signed an agreement to strengthen interconnection in the scientific, technological, and business fields of our territory.
Spin-off, Start-up and Business-University Collaboration Award
In the first category of awards, «Spin-off Award», is intended to recognize companies promoted by Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), doctors or doctoral students that have been created from the exploitation of research results and that are linked to any of the Valencian science parks.
For its part, the modality «Start-up Award» is directed to innovative companies promoted by students or alumni from any of the Valencian public universities. These firms must be located in or linked to any of the Valencian science parks and be incorporated after June 30, 2020.
Also, the «Business-University Collaboration Award» is directed to companies that participate with any of the Valencian public universities in R&D programs and/or projects whose results have contributed to establishing a close and continued relationship of collaboration, as well as to the development of the Valencian economy.
Special Mention for Innovation in the Face of Climate Events
TheSpecial Mention for Innovation in the Face of Climate Events is directed to the innovative companies located in the Valencian Community or startups who have been successful in projects funded by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, all of which were established after June 30, 2020.
The purpose of the special mention is Recognize the business initiative developed within the ecosystem of the five Valencian science parks that has demonstrated a significant contribution to the prevention, mitigation, adaptation or response to extreme climate events., such as torrential rains, heat waves, floods or droughts or fires, with real impact on the territory and potential for scalability.
