David Cabedo is appointed President of the APTE Technology Transfer Delegate Commission

On Thursday, June 18, during the virtual assembly of the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE), the prize was awarded “Parks + Assets APTE Technician Network” corresponding to the year 2019.

This award, which debuts this year in its first edition, is awarded to the Spanish park that carries out the most actions and projects with the association. In this sense, Espaitec's participation in the twinning program between parks has been highlighted, its involvement in the revitalization among its companies of the private Blockchain network that the association has launched together with Telefónica, as well as the promotion of new APTEFORMA training platform or that it has been one of the most active parks in the creation of demands to be resolved between the different companies of the Spanish parks, among many other aspects that have also been valued positively.

In this first edition, we have shared the award with the Avilés Scientific and Technological Park and also the Andalusia Scientific and Technological Park. These 3 parks have been chosen among the 64 members that are part of the association.

In addition to this award, APTE has also highlighted the work of Espaitec within the Best Practice of Science and Technology Parks, since this year it has presented its Fablab as an important novelty that can be used by the entire university community to convert ideas. into real prototypes that can be used by society. In this sense, it is worth mentioning that during 2019 and thanks to an investment from IVACE, state-of-the-art machinery has been installed such as: 3D Printer, Resin Printer, Laser Cutter, Cutting Plotter, Precision CNC and Large Format CNC.

Finally, it should be noted that during the general assembly of APTE some positions of the association were also renewed, appointing David Cabedo, Deputy Vice-Rector for Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the UJI, as President of the Delegate Commission for Technology Transfer of APTE and will also continue to carry out his position as vice president within the association itself as he has been doing to date.
