About the GEM report

GEM has been established since its inception as a research observatory of the entrepreneurial phenomenon with an international vocation. Since 1999, it has developed its activity in global, national, regional and local reports thanks to the participation of the researchers that comprise it. In Spain, the project is disaggregated into a “Region Network” made up of various research groups, which prepare specific reports about entrepreneurial activity in their closest environment.

Maria Gómez del Pozuelo, the founder of Womenalia, will talk about entrepreneurial women

Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) indicates the overall reality of entrepreneurship to reflect entrepreneurial activity and its related factors. On Monday 24 February at 12:30h, we will learn the outcomes of this regional report prepared at the  Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH). This report includes socio-cultural variables and behaviors that reveal the entrepreneurial scene in the Valencian Community.

This event will start with a reference speaker in feminine entrepreneurship: María Gómez, the General Manager of Womenalia. Thanks to her experience in managing the first world social network of networking for professional women, María will present the feminine entrepreneurship situation. Today Womenalia is made up of more than 280,000 professional and entrepreneurial women. This network establishes contact between women's profiles who are interested in related concerns and requirements towards a common objective: to make feminine talent more visible in the business world by increasing entrepreneurship and allowing women to access more executive posts.
