Espaitec, Scientific and Technological Park of the Universitat Jaume I, will present the next Wednesday, November 13 at 13:XNUMX p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Espaitec 2 building the project UJI.>LAB. The main objective of this is to bring society closer to the knowledge generated by the university community.
The project UJI.>LAB is based on promoting the interaction between knowledge and business through a novel channel (LABs) with a clear vocation to stimulate open innovation activities. Approach that is being adopted by many companies due to its versatility, agility and efficiency. The design of a creative and innovative environment, called UJI.>LAB, its purpose is to facilitate the generation of new ideas, through the co-creation and involvement of companies together with the university academic environment (research groups and members of the university community).
El UJI.>LAB will enable the creation of prototypes, thanks to its FabLab, based on challenges or needs captured by the university teaching staff (through a contest of ideas to solve challenges posed, guidance in the final Bachelor's and Master's projects towards the solution of said challenges, identifying opportunities to launch start-ups that work within the company in the required direction).
The FabLab They are small local laboratories based on digital manufacturing with all the essential machinery, which will allow the full implementation of the proposed projects. This project is intended for the entire university community, both teachers and students, although it should be noted that the most interested public are the students who are immersed in the final work of their Bachelor's and Master's degrees for the purpose of taking advantage of the project.
El UJI.>LAB It will be both the environment in which the methodology is designed and the space where its validation is verified and will be supported by the methodology. LivingLab adopted by the European Network of LivingLabs (ENOLL) (based on the principles of value, influence, sustainability, openness and realism).
Finally, highlight the development of a challenge management platform for the dissemination of the final Bachelor's and Master's projects, which will include other works developed by the university community. A new great opportunity opens up to generate synergies between the company and the university.
