Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM)  It has been established since its inception as a research observatory of the entrepreneurial phenomenon with an international vocation. Its objective is to capture entrepreneurial activity and the factors relating to it through reports on a global, national, regional and local level thanks to the participation of the researchers that comprise it. Since 1999, the GEM report presents reports with perspectives on developments on:

  •  Values, perceptions and entrepreneurial skills of the active population.
  • Entrepreneurial activity and its characteristics.
  • Context in which the entrepreneurial process develops

In Spain the project is developed through a Region Network formed by various research groups, which prepare specific reports about entrepreneurial activity in their closest environment. In this edition, the Spanish network is made up of 100 researchers, 19 universities, 90 institutions, the Santander International Entrepreneurship Center (CISE) and Banco Santander.

In the case of the Valencian Community, the project is led by José María Gómez Gras, director of the report and professor of Business Organization at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), who will present entrepreneurial activity at the regional level on Monday, January 15 at 12.30:XNUMX p.m. in the press room of the rectorate building of the Universitat Jaume I.

This is a free day open to all types of public, with special attention to local agents working on entrepreneurship and job creation, as well as entrepreneurs and businessmen from the province of Castellón.
