This week, Castellón City Council has made the free Magdalena 2012 mobile application available to all citizens, through which you can consult the official programming of the Festival Board and the most notable events of Gaiatas, Collas and other groups. Developed by the Espaitec firm of the UJI Four eighty, the application is now available in the Apple Store for iPhone mobiles, in Google Play for Android systems and can also be consulted through any device with a connection through a specially adapted website.
The agenda of events for the founding festivities of Castellón is linked to a complete map with points of interest so that musical performances, parades, pyrotechnic shows, traditional events, activities for children... programmed by the Meeting of Festes, gaiatas and collas between Friday March 9 and Sunday March 18, 2012.
With the Magdalena 2012 application You can consult the agenda by time slots, days and personalize it with favorite events, by category or individually, including expanded information about each of them. You can also locate all the points of interest on the map, such as gaiatas, main collas or inns, and know where all the events on the agenda are held, as well as those that are closest to the user at all times. In addition, the application has signposted routes for the Romeria de les Canyes (with mileage), the Pregó and the main parades that take place during Magdalena week.
As a novelty for this edition, in which the City Council and the Festival Board have trusted Cuatroochenta to develop the project for the second consecutive year, the application will allow you to consult the location map of all the points of interest without an internet connection, which It offers users more possibilities to obtain information from any place and circumstance.
In addition, Cuatroochenta has also developed a specific website for the festival program (http://magdalenaentumovil.castello.es), designed so that it can be consulted from any type of mobile phone with an internet connection. As a complement, the Festes Board's page on Facebook, Fira i Festes de la Magdalena, is spreading the applications and the mobile website among its followers.
