The Universitat Jaume I proposes a project to promote responsible innovation in the scientific parks of the Valencian Community that includes, among other actions, the development of format materials on Research and Innovation Responsible for the Valencian business sector and the implementation of format workshops in the centers of the Xarxa of Valencian Science Parks (REPCV) in which the companies of the Scientific, Technological and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I, Espaitec, will share the experience in the development of responsible innovation actions.

The project is financed through subsidies for the promotion and dynamism of the scientific parks of the Generalitat Valenciana and will continue to develop in 2018 in this matter a call that will allow responsible innovation actions to be carried out in four Espaitec companies. . Through this new project, a follow-up of the results achieved by these companies will be carried out and the experience will be transferred to other Valencian countries, with the ultimate goal of promoting more responsible research.

The project promotes the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) model, promoted by the European Union, with the objective that the processes and results of science and technology are aligned with real interests and values of the society To achieve this, the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the UJI, in collaboration with the Practical Ethics and Democracy group, will develop a communication model based on actions of dialogue and participation that is brought into practice by both Espaitec companies, obtaining a very positive evaluation from the participants, just as the book was published Application of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in science parks published in the “Humanitats” collection with the main results of the project.

The companies that will participate in the project and that will translate the experience are Cuatroochenta, developing mobile applications and other digital transformation products; SemanticBots, specialized in the design of conversational platforms based on conversational bots with artificial intelligence; Zeus Smart Visual Data, a company that offers solutions that unify massive data sources and translate them into multiple panels to give you a complete view of the information at real time through dashboards; i Projecte Kryptonita, specialized in the development of R&D activities in the food sector.
