The nine companies selected in the fourth edition of the Castellón Global Program have made the final presentation of their business plan this week, after completing the training phase. Castelló Global Program is an initiative promoted and financed by the Castellón Provincial Council and directed by Espaitec, scientific, technological and business park of the Universitat Jaume I. The event was held at the facilities of the Scientific, Technological and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I (Espaitec) and has had the participation of Salvador Aguilella and Carmen Vilanova for the Castellón Provincial Council; David Cabedo from the Jaume I University; Carlos Serrano, from Angels Capital and Edurne Zubiria, from the Globalis Foundation, among others.
A gym where new technologies and sports come together to improve the quality of life (Urban Sport Club); km 0 jams that from Altura in Castellón reach all of Europe (Dulces La Cartuja); beers made from wild black truffles produced in the interior of Castellón (Noble Tuber); a new packaging concept for wine (Kopita); a form of language learning based on experiential experiences (Clap Languages); training and support to facilitate the labor insertion of young people from Castellón in European countries (International Steps); a new concept of creative design studio where virtual reality takes center stage (Nuxot); a commitment to bringing local crafts to the whole world (Artesanía Roca) and a rural hotel with all the charms and services of a city hotel (Hotel La Cava) are the nine companies that are the protagonists of this fourth edition of the program.
After two months of intense training in which the nine selected projects have worked on areas of knowledge such as marketing, sales, business model, finance, internationalization and leadership, among others, the program will start the mentoring phase in September. "The training phase that ends with the presentation of projects serves to see the initial evolution of the companies after passing through the program," says Paco Negre, general director of Espaitec and professor of the program. "With all the needs identified in these first months, after the summer we will work in a personalized way with the projects, helping to put the knowledge acquired into practice and defining a personalized acceleration plan for each company."
For his part, Salvador Aguilella, deputy for Economic Promotion, Collection and Finance of the Provincial Council, has highlighted the role of the Castellón Global Program to promote innovation in the business fabric of the province, committed to generating innovation and qualified employment throughout the territory. . And David Cabedo, academic director of Espaitec, has highlighted the role that programs like this play in bringing university knowledge and talent closer to the business environment.
