Brain-tec was born in the year 2000 in the Swiss city of Brig with the aim of showing that success can be achieved through a business model based on open source software. Since then it has not stopped growing and expanding geographically, currently being a multinational with headquarters in Spain, Switzerland and Germany.

In recent years the company has focused on a specialization strategy and has become a partner of Odoo, an open source business software that offers a complete solution to companies and institutions of all sizes and sectors. Its business model consists of adapting and personalizing this solution to the needs of clients, being recognized in 2016 as the best Odoo partner in Europe.

This IT solution integrates multiple tools that cover all areas of a company such as accounting, purchasing, sales or production. However, its innovation goes one step further, also integrating customer relationship management (CRM) systems, e-commerce and even the corporate website. It is a multi-language solution, accessible from any device and modular, which means that it can be adjusted to any company and project. Furthermore, being based on open source, Odoo is constantly innovating, as developers and partners from all over the world contribute to its continuous improvement.

In addition to Castellón, the company has another headquarters in Spain in Madrid. «The decision to open a new office in Espaitec comes because within the Spanish staff we worked two graduates from the Universitat Jaume I that we knew firsthand the potential of the graduates at this university. We believed that both on a personal and professional level it was a great opportunity to join Espaitec and thus also take advantage of the magnificent facilities and services provided by both the University and the Park," says Raúl Martín Félez, head of the headquarters in Castellón. "Since we set up shop we have already hired 3 graduates from the Universitat Jaume I and our goal is to continue investing in local talent," he adds.

Brain-tec's short-term objectives include finding new clients in the Valencian Community to join its portfolio of international clients. In addition, the company is open to new possibilities of collaboration with other Espaitec companies and with UJI research groups, since they could integrate their findings and innovations into their Odoo product.
