The spin-off of the Universitat Jaume I, which includes both research staff from the Temporary Connection Bases group (TKBG), has developed the virtual assistant Lab, based on inclusive artificial intelligence, for the Occupation and Training Service WORK of the Generalitat Valenciana

El Valencia Employment and Training Service, Works, has decided to promote the digital transformation of all services mitjançant l'applicació d'un projecte d'artificial intelligence. From this point of view of the Valencian Administration there is a clear initiative to offer millions of services and innovate, applying those technologies that are leading the technological and social change. Therefore, in the development of this new initiative they have followed the guidelines and objectives of the artificial intelligence strategy of the Valencian Community, focused on improving the life of society and on sustainability.

This project is aimed at promoting and facilitating in this service the achievement of the Sustainable Development Objective of the United Nations Agenda (SDG), partners with the use of this technology in a more sustainable way and the reduction of the digital divide that affects millions of people. To achieve these objectives, Works has collaborated in the development of this inclusive artificial intelligence system for both SemanticBots, spin-off of the Universitat Jaume I that includes both researchers from the group of Temporal Knowledge Bases (TKBG), experts in the development of conversational assistants.

The virtual assistant Lab

The virtual assistant named Lab is going to be created through the artificial intelligence platform Sayobo, owner of this company and which will grow thanks to the application of responsible research and innovation concepts (RRI) by the research group. Lab is at the disposal of citizens with a new accessible channel for consultation, additional to the existing ones in Labora, both digital and analog.

Its main objective is being able to facilitate instant access and the usability of continuous digital information in digital countries that it shares with its users, such as the website. From SemanticBots, point out that "the digital divide affects citizens and we want to offer a digital eina in which people can search for information or resolve their doubts in a faster and more efficient way, as long as this information remains in the database of the system." ».

Amb Lab, aims to improve digital communication with Labora users, as a consultant in natural language It is recommended to facilitate access to information related to the services offered., fent-the most accessible and usable also for those col·lectius most vulnerable to digitalization.

The chatbot is currently in beta phase, and includes an initial connection base with training to donate response in different areas related to the frequently asked questions of Labora users such as: inscription, inserted, academics, you help, and other items of interest that supply the service and its users.

Since its founding in Marx, Lab has continued to be a member of Labora's communication and service team, Col·laborant in the service of more than 20.000 users and users. Currently, the latest connection base includes More than 150 questions that allow you to donate instant answers from this new intelligent communication channel.

The Lab's base of knowledge has evolved based on the information and communication needs of the users and on the part of Labora, adapting each time more to their requirements. All the information it offers will be adjusted and valued because every time the chatbot even provides better coverage, thereby benefiting the entire society. The more people interact with the chatbot, the greater the capacity for correct responses., since the chatbot requires a training period to fully understand its functions.
