On Wednesday, November 25, Universitat Jaume I and the Sagunto City Council organize II UJI Innovation Conference – Companies, in online format, coordinated by podcast. From the Plenary Hall of the Sagunto City Council the inauguration of the event will be carried out by the mayor of Sagunto, Dario Moreno, and the deputy vice-rector for Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, david cabedo; to continue later with the event in online format.
Once the inauguration has taken place, the day will begin with the presentation “Towards the transfer of knowledge. “Financing R&D&I projects in Company-University collaboration”, By Ismael Rodrigo, Director of the Office of Cooperation in Research and Technological Development (OCIT – UJI). The day will continue with the presentation of a success story, Ampere Energy-Virtual Power Plant, by Ursula Perez , Data Scientist at Ampere Energy, and Emilio Pérez, member of the EEA research group (Electrical, Electronic and Automatic) from the Jaume I University.
Innovation and technology are the key instruments to get out of the current crisis situation, therefore, research groups from the Universitat Jaume I and professionals from companies in Sagunto and surrounding areas, will meet on this day with the aim of responding to the challenges in R&D&I and joint collaboration options. The director of Espaitec and manager of the General Foundation of the UJI, Juan Antonio Bertolin, will make a presentation about the methodology to follow in carrying out virtual meetings of networking and the meetings One to One between UJI research groups and companies previously scheduled, with a new format designed to adapt to current health circumstances.
The day is framed within the project Knowledge Transfer Antennas, carried out by the General Foundation of the Jaume I University, responsible for the management of Espaitec, the UJI Science and Technology Park, and financed by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), through the agreement of Promotion of the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology between University and Company and support of Innovative Entrepreneurship signed with the scientific parks of the Valencian Community.
