The program, coordinated by Espaitec and the INCREA Chair, is aimed at people from the university community who have an innovative business idea.
The Vice-Rectorate for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Dissemination of the Universitat Jaume I has opened the call to participate in the ninth edition of UJIStartup. This support program for entrepreneurship, managed by Espaitec and the Chair of Innovation, Creativity and Learning (INCREA), offers free training and mentoring to members of the university community who want to develop their business idea.
Over eight months, from November to May, the selected individuals will receive practical training, personalized advice from specialized professionals and support from members of SECOT (Spanish Seniors for Technical Cooperation)During this period, we will work on validating ideas, identifying real-world problems, and evaluating the impact of projects, with the goal of turning them into viable business initiatives.
Requirements
UJIStartup is aimed at la university community (students, teachers, research staff, administrative staff (or individuals who have graduated in the last eight years) who have an entrepreneurial idea. Those interested but lacking basic entrepreneurial knowledge must complete the intensive Bootcamp for Entrepreneurship course. This initiative will be held on November 5, 6, and 7.
To participate in the 9th edition, registration will be open until October 22, and up to 25 projects will be selected.
Advantages
In addition, at the end of the program, participants will become part of the UJI Entrepreneur Club, a space where entrepreneurs can collaborate and build a community. UJIStartup also facilitates access to Certificate of Entrepreneurial Skills from the UJI, as it certifies 140 hours of training in entrepreneurship.
UJIStartup
UJIStartup is the UJI's business creation program that, since its creation in 2017, has helped 172 projects define their entrepreneurial idea. To date, program participants have created a total of 17 companies. UJIStartup is supported by the Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment.
