The Universitat Jaume I launches an inspiring online training plan on innovation in communication for Espaitec companies, within the framework of the research project promoted by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i) of the Communication and Publications Service, which has funding from the Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana. In total, the program consists of seven conferences by experts in the field of communication, science and business management, distributed openly through the YouTube channels of both the UJI and Espaitec in order to promote transfer models. of scientific and technological knowledge.
The program, transformed into the digital sphere due to Covid-19, opens with presentations by the vice-rector for Transfer and Dissemination of the University of Murcia, José Manuel López Nicolás; of the scientist Daniel Ramon, vice president of R&D Health & Wellness, located in the Science Park of the University of Valencia - at the same time as founder of the CSIC spin off Biópolis - and the director of the European and International Projects Office of the University-Business Foundation of the public university of Castelló (FUE-UJI), Nela Gómez.
Next, presentations by Dolors Pedrós, manager of Edicions 96 and member of the Consell Valencià de Cultura (CVC), by David Hernández, head of communication at the company Soluciones Cuatroochenta, and by Susana Fabregat, manager of the company SE Comunica, will be broadcast. . The training plan of the Innovation Models in Transfer project, EspaitecMIT, will close with the intervention of the CEO of Vicky Foods, Rafael Juan.
The EspaitecMIT initiative, developed with the support of the Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer of the UJI, has the objective of developing innovative models of knowledge transfer from science parks to the agents of the Valencian Innovation System, taking into account the tools and opportunities of the digital paradigm with the involvement of companies. The proposal proposes the implementation of new methodologies, narratives and resources to optimize the dynamization of the results of the scientific research, technological development and innovation activities of the Valencian science parks, favoring the gender perspective transversally.
Diagnosis of Communication Models
The main line of action of EspaitecMIT is the analysis of the communication models of the companies of Espaitec, the Scientific and Technological Park of the UJI, in order to be able to develop Innovative Transfer Models in two specific areas: ICT and the field digital and health and sustainability. The participants in the sessions to develop this study have been: Walhalla, Foodration4all, Blue Plasma Power, The Logic Value, Outcomes '10, Soluciones Cuatroochenta, Nob166 and Biótica, in addition to Espaitec.
This project, with a global budget of 20.000 euros, focuses on the innovation of communication processes as one of the fundamental strategic areas to promote transfer to the business fabric with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of the Valencian economy and, at time, enhance the scientific culture of citizens
The development of Innovative Transfer Models is based on two priority pillars: strategic communication and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). The digital field, ICT, sustainability and health constitute priority areas for both the Universitat Jaume I and the Intelligent Specialization Strategy in Research and Innovation of the Generalitat Valenciana, known as RIS3. Furthermore, they constitute challenges on a global and European Union scale, taking into account international agreements to address climate change or the United Nations 2030 Agenda for the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
