Interested companies may submit their applications until Friday, June 9 at 14:00 p.m. 

Recognize and reward the activity of entrepreneurial and business initiatives based on their growth, innovative nature, business strategy and contribution to the environment. This is the objective of the awards organized for the fifth consecutive year by the Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV), of which Espaitec is a part. The initiative has the support of the Valencian Agency for Innovation (AVI) and the current edition is coordinated by the Scientific Park of the University of Valencia. Companies interested in participating, and that have not attended previous editions, can send your application until June 9.

This call has three modalities: “Spin-off Award”, “Start-up Award” and “Business-University Collaboration Awards”. In this fifth edition, Each modality will have a winner and up to a maximum of two second prizes. for each of them. 

Honorary in nature, the awards will consist of recognition diplomas and trophies, of which one prize and up to a maximum of two second prizes will be awarded for each category. Companies that obtain the award in each of the three categories will have the right to request up to two entrances to Transfer 2024. In addition, the award-winning companies will have the opportunity to participate in the international technological meeting Valencia Digital Summit 2023.

In the first of the modalities, «Spin-off Award», we seek to recognize companies promoted by Teaching and Research Personnel (PDI), doctors or doctoral students that have been created from the exploitation of research results and that are linked to any of the Valencian science parks. 

For its part, the category «Start-up Award» is directed to innovative companies promoted by students or alumni of any of the Valencian public universities. These companies must be located or linked to any of the Valencian science parks and be established after June 30, 2018. 

Also, the «Business-University Collaboration Award» is directed to companies that participate with any of the Valencian public universities in R&D programs and/or projects whose results have contributed to establishing a close and continued relationship of collaboration, as well as to the development of the Valencian economy. 

With these awards the rePCV seeks to contribute to the development and consolidation of companies created and developed with the support of the five Valencian science parks, and promote and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit in the field of science parks and promote and strengthen University-Business relationships. The winners will be announced by publication on the website. 

La formal awards ceremony will be held in a public event in the Marie Curie auditorium of the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV) on Friday, June 30 2023.

Network of Valencian Science Parks

The Network of Valencian Science Parks is an entity formed by the Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University, by Espaitec, by the Science Park of the University of Valencia, by the Polytechnic City of Innovation-Polytechnic University of Valencia and by the Science Park of Alicante-University of Alicante. The objective of the rePCV is to increase the wealth of the region, promote the culture of innovation and foster the competitiveness of companies and knowledge-generating institutions installed in or associated with science parks. Also, promote the diversification and growth of a new business and industrial fabric, quality, differentiated and committed to social responsibility policies.
