The Scientific, Technological and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I (Espaitec) received a visit this morning from the rector Eva Alcon, the vice-rector for research and transfer Jesus Lancis, and the vice-rector for studies and teaching, Isabel García. The visit to the building Espaitec 2, where there are 10 companies and 2 associations installed, has begun in the laboratories of Biotics Biochemistry Analytical, company of technological base specialized in the development of rapid techniques for detecting microorganisms. This signature of biotechnology leads the H2020 project ULISENS, focused on the development and subsequent commercialization of a automatic early warning system capable of detecting and quantifying species of Legionella in water. Next, the scientific consultant Outcomes'10 specialized research on health outcomes and pharmacoeconomics, has presented to the governing team the solutions it develops for pharmaceutical products and medical or diagnostic devices.
The visit has concluded at the facilities of Cuatroochenta Solutions, a leading company in the development of technologies aimed at improve results in organizations, with a focus on app development and digital transformation. Founded in 2011 in Espaitec by two UJI graduates, the firm currently has 50 workers, with 90% of its staff being former students of the Universitat Jaume I. Cuatroochenta currently has offices in Madrid, Colombia, Italy, Panama and Argentina, offering service in 14 countries and continuing its expansion towards new markets and challenges.
