Espaitec companies present their solutions for industrial digitalization and debate the status of implementation of these technologies at the local level
This week we have organized the technological breakfast “Solutions for industrial digital transformation developed by Espaitec companies.” An opportunity to learn about innovative solutions for industry 4.0 developed by Castellón companies linked to the Universitat Jaume I.
Ricardo Benitez, Predictive Maintenance Engineer Signature I-Care Group installed in Espaitec, has presented the set of predictive maintenance solutions that the company develops and markets internationally. Its technologies allow us to determine when a problem may occur with high levels of accuracy, which allows us to reduce costs by avoiding having to stop production.
Developed solutions such as I-see or Wi-care allow them to control equipment in remote and dangerous locations, perform exhaustive monitoring by condition from anywhere in the world, instant remote analysis 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, measure different signals based on of the client's interests, anticipate failure by avoiding catastrophic events, etc.

They also offer selective reporting services, being able to define all types of statistics for their clients: failure, consumption, production... keeping the client always informed in real time to offer services based on continuous improvement.
Hugo Negre, R&D Manager of the virtual Orbel Group, has presented innovations applied to the logistics sector. Its Orbel Telemetry solution, for example, allows remote monitoring and management of industrial machinery fleets, allowing the digitalization of intralogistics processes. The company is also innovating in the use of lithium batteries in its machinery, as they allow for more energy in the same space without gas emissions, which increases safety and reduces costs due to less need for maintenance.
Esteban Bellés, IT Consultant Signature Sacmi Ibérica, has highlighted the ability of connectivity to make companies less vulnerable and more competitive in changing environments. During his speech he presented the HERE plant control software, a modular and scalable solution that adapts to all types of needs and budgets.

The presentations of the solutions have given rise to a question-and-answer session where the speakers have agreed that there is still much to do in the business fabric of Castellón in terms of industrial digitalization. However, there is an awakening on the part of local companies to implement industry 4.0 solutions, as they are seeing that the return on investment begins to occur around the year, and that not doing so reduces their competitiveness in an increasingly hostile.
