The program has offered training and support to transform innovative ideas into companies promoted by members of the university community.

The eighth edition of the program UJIStartup has ended with the promotion of 13 projects led by members of the university community of the Universitat Jaume I with the capacity to become new business initiatives. The project is driven by the Vice-rectorate for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Disseminationthrough podcast and the Chair of Innovation, Creativity and Learning (INCREA). It also has the collaboration of SECOT Castellón.

During the closing ceremony, speakers included David Cabedo, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Dissemination; Marisa Flor, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the UJI; Juan Antonio Bertolín, Director of Espaitec; and Vicente Nebot, Vice-President of SECOT Castellón.

Cabedo highlighted the maturity of the UJI's institutional business creation program, which this year concludes with 13 innovative projects. Furthermore, the vice-rector encouraged the project teams to move forward with their implementation by transforming them into companies and thus contributing to the transfer of the knowledge generated at the University to society.

For her part, Flor emphasized the intense training the participants received during the program. Highly qualified professionals in the field of entrepreneurship taught the program, which allowed them to solidly consolidate their projects.cough.

The project leaders then presented their business ideas to a group of industry professionals and potential investors.

Projects selected for the 8th edition of UJIStartup

Of the 24 projects that started in this edition, these are the 13 projects selected to advance in business creation:

  • FinBoard: SaaS-type financial panel that centralizes and visualizes the client's financial information.
  • Wellness 360: personalized supplement for improving overall well-being.
  • Wild Pineapple: scientific illustration project with a focus on environmental conservation.
  • Promoplana: platform that boosts the online visibility of local commerce.
  • Obliko: 3D-printed concrete homes to facilitate access to affordable, designer homes.
  • SolutAI: a tool that brings artificial intelligence closer to SMEs to improve their productivity.
  • Stratos: A tool to optimize time and reduce operating costs of industrial activities through technical inspections with drones, generating high-value data for faster, safer, and more effective decisions.
  • Go to Goal: a digital platform for athletics training connected to devices and apps.
  • Futchain: Blockchain-based contract and payment management system for football players.
  • All you: creation of synthetic diamonds from objects with emotional value.
  • Safe Space: an emotional support platform for Spanish-speaking women with psychoeducational content.
  • Coaching until you make it: a coaching solution for preventing burnout.
  • VersedIA: AI-based biographical app for seniors.

Thus, the 13 finalist projects will be eligible for financial aid for business creation in the award competitions funded by various institutions organized by the University.
