Jaume I University in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Painting and Related Technicians (AETEPA), the spin-off of the UJI Medco and the company nubiola They organize for next November 12 and 13 the “Conferences on organic coatings and electrochemical evaluation”, aimed at disseminating new methodologies for evaluating the anticorrosive properties of paints and related products to minimize costs.
The conferences aimed at students, researchers, teachers and professionals interested in electrochemistry, corrosion and management of modeling for the interpretation of results, will take place in the Assembly Hall of espaitec 2, the new building of the Scientific, Technological and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I, and will have teaching staff from the UJI, the University of the Basque Country, the Carlos III University of Madrid, Scientific Researchers from the CENIM-CSIC and professionals from the sector from specialized companies such as MEDCO and NUBIOLA.
The presentations will be organized into three thematic blocks. Firstly, paints and types of anticorrosive coatings currently used. Secondly, electrochemical and traditional techniques for their evaluation and protection against corrosion and finally, management of models for interpreting results. Each thematic block will be organized into one or several blocks of presentations and a final round table among the professionals attending the conference.
