Espaitec, Scientific and Technological Park of the Universitat Jaume I  held yesterday the second and last session of Innovatossals 2020 (Innovating with Tombatossals), an event that is part of the business growth program Castellón Global Program, co-financed by the Diputación de Castellón.

The vice-rector for Research and Transfer of the Universitat Jaume I, Jesús Lancis, inaugurated the innovation day together with the provincial deputy for Economic Promotion, Employment and Internationalization, Pau Ferrando. The second session of Innovatossals began with the intervention of Guillermo Berlanga, Director of Innovation Gimeno Group, who has shared the beneficial relationship with the Universitat Jaume I in the creation of the FACSA-UJI Comprehensive Water Cycle Chair, within the scope of industrial doctorates. Berlanga stressed that a successful model has been consolidated that fosters the relationship with the Universitat Jaume I in the field of innovation, achieving clear synergies in this relationship with the UJI. He also highlighted that the profiles created in the research groups are ideal for the R&D and innovation departments of companies.

Then Jordi Escruela, Director of Innovation at Post, gave a tour in his presentation about the innovation processes carried out by the company. He highlighted that the company uses Design Thinking strategies along with Internet of Things (IOT) techniques to develop its innovations, and that the fundamental part of each innovation process is the firm purpose of innovating on the part of the people in the organization. Antonio Rojas, Director of Innovation Premium Group, highlighted in his presentation that innovation is the central axis in the company, achieving an increase in value in each service or product in the innovation processes. Climent stressed that reinvestment and continuous innovation are required to continue being market leaders.
