Innotransfer Sustainable Habitat is coordinated by Espaitec and promoted by the Network of Science Parks of the Valencian Community (rePCV), and has the support of the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI)
This morning the first of the three scheduled webinars of the forum took place Innotransfer Sustainable Habitat, in which the energy transition in the manufacturing of construction materials with green hydrogen as a key energy resource for the future has been the protagonist. The vice-rector for Research and Transfer, Jesus Lancis, has inaugurated the day. Lancis has highlighted that the Innotransfer forum «is a cooperation initiative between the scientific and industrial fields that during 2020 brought together more than 1.100 technological and innovation agents, receiving more than 235 expressions of interest from companies related to Automotive and Sustainable Mobility, Agri-Food, Sustainable Habitat, Health and Enabling Technologies». He has also added that «Through these conferences, in the field of sustainable habitat, opportunities for collaboration will be generated and synergies will be presented between the scientific world and the business world».
The first of the presentations was given by the CEO of Kerajet, José Vicente Tomás, who has emphasized the importance of the energy transition in the manufacturing of construction materials. Next, researchers from Institute of Advanced Materials (INAM) of the UJI, Sixto Gimenez y Jose Mata, have focused their presentations on green hydrogen and new electrolysis developments for a sustainable habitat at a competitive cost; next to hydrogen storage using organic liquids and highlighting that it is a fundamental resource for the use of renewable energies.
The online session has advanced with the presentation of the CEO of ceracasa, Carlos Cabrera, who has highlighted the main features of the product Bionictile®, decontaminating porcelain pieces that prioritize sustainability. Next, the architect of the habitat area of the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC-AICE), Jorge corrales, has detailed the project CERBUILD, which aims the incorporation and adaptation of the ceramic sector to the industrialized construction process and the development of systems that meet the requirements, including their integration into current work methodologies in architecture and urban planning (BIM).
To conclude the webinar, the manager of the General Foundation of the UJI and director of podcast, Juan A. Bertolin, who moderated the session and presented la Innotransfer platform for the challenges on Sustainable Habitat 2021, which opens a period for research personnel and the business sector to raise their «challenges» and the specific solutions promoted by research groups. From this, the innovation support technicians of business associations, technology centers and universities will identify collaboration opportunities that can be developed within the framework of project calls.

Forum Innotransfer is a multi-sector initiative of open innovation and collective management that aims to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology, developed by the scientific and technological parks of the Valencian Community, to the business ecosystem of our territory in key economic sectors such as Automotive and Sustainable Mobility, Agri-food, Sustainable Habitat, Health y Enabling Technologies.
The main business associations, the Valencian public universities and the network of REDIT Technological Institutes participate in the Innotransfer forum, which is funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI). This initiative aims to promote dialogue between researchers and companies in the Valencian Community through the catalytic action of the intermediate structures of the public-private research ecosystem and the Valencian business ecosystem.
