The day was inaugurated by Pilar García Agustín, vice-rector of Students, Employment and Educational Innovation of the Jaume I University, who encouraged entrepreneurs to use all the existing resources that the Jaume I University makes available to them to make their ideas a reality. . The provincial deputy for Economic Promotion, Collection and Finance, Salvador Aguillella, has highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration for entrepreneurship, as well as the new lines of financial support that will be launched by the Castellón Provincial Council. For his part, Paco Negre, general director of Espaitec, has highlighted the importance of improving the return to society of the resources and efforts invested.
The opening ceremony of the day also included the intervention of Justo Vellón, director of the CEEI Castellón; Patricia Puerta, councilor for the Area of Innovation, Employment and Citizen Creativity of Castellón; and Nela Gómez, co-organizer of the day. All institutions have offered an overview of the existing resources aimed at entrepreneurs and have encouraged them to take advantage of them in order to grow their projects.
After the initial presentation, attendees were able to learn about all the institutional programs and support for entrepreneurs offered through local agents such as Provincial Council, Espaitec, CEEI, City Council and Chamber of Commerce. At the European level, initiatives have been presented such as the SME Instrument, the Climate KIC Accelerator Program and a set of European aid for entrepreneurs.
Success stories of entrepreneurs from Castellón; a round table on investments and financial institutions; and a presentation on resources and opportunities to lead a startup have been the central topics of a day that aims to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurial initiative at the European level.
