- The Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander de Croo, was in charge of giving the award to the CEO of I-care Group, Fabrice Brion.
The company I-care Group, based in the Espaitec 2 Science and Technology Park building of the UJI, has obtained the 'Company of the Year' 2020 award, the most prestigious recognition that any Belgian company can receive.
Awards l'Entreprise de l'Année, are organized by the firm Ernst & Young, one of the most important consulting firms in the world, together with the help of BNP Paribas Fortis and L'Echo.
This 25th edition was attended by the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander de Croo, who was in charge of giving the award to Fabrice Brion, CEO of I-care Group.
This title, reserved exclusively for the country's business elite, is chosen by an independent jury of specialists, who is in charge of choosing that organization that stands out for its willingness to undertake and innovate, but also for its sense of strategy and the competition, its global projection and, of course, its exemplary management. “After all, this is recognition of hard work and a great team,” Brion stated.
The President of the Jury, Laurent Levaux, explained that I-care Group, a service provider and technological leader, has been awarded as they have registered 10 patents since the COVID-19 pandemic began and it continues with its annual growth of 35%, not only in Belgium, but internationally. Another point that stood out was the vision that I-care has for anticipating a need for industrial companies.
I-care Group, a company specialized in predictive maintenance and reliability, was born in Belgium 16 years ago. It currently has more than 450 employees around the world and is present in 15 countries, including Spain, in the Science and Technology Park of the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón.
