The hackathon UX Challenge, main activity of the European H2020 project 200SMEChallenge In which they participate Trentino Innovation Hub (HIT) y Fondazione Bruno Kessler from Italy, Steinbeis-Europa Zentrum from Germany, Dansk Design Center from Denmark, Lithuanian Innovation Center from Lithuania, Technopol from Estonia and Business Oulu of Finland together with the General Foundation of the Jaume I University, has been carried out in 7 countries applying a common methodology adapted from Google's Design Sprint where they have been analyzed and formulated improvement proposals for the technological products of 8 companies per country, of the more than 200 evaluated, selected through a statistical mechanism based on a set of indicators collected by each country.

In this first hackathon carried out in podcast 8 teams of solvers have participated, formed by students from the Universitat Jaume I and the IES Caminàs. The 8 teams have worked intensely for 3 days in a co-creative and open innovation process analyzing the corresponding applications of the selected companies and proposing improvements to these to reinforce their level of usability. On the last day, and after the presentation of the different prototypes validated by company users, they were evaluated from a perspective of content management, cooperation, team and exhibition. This evaluation has been difficult due to the excellent quality of the prototypes and the dynamics of the teams.

In this first edition, the teams of solvers who have worked on the applications of Bitcoinforme SL y Faytheconsulting SL. The second prize went to the teams that have developed their prototypes for the company's applications Brainbond Computer Engineering and theJOKFUN. The last of the awards has been awarded to the team that was in charge of making the proposal to the company PIXELCOM SL

With this first experience, and based on the lessons learned and the testimonies of the participating companies, preparation has begun for the next calls for the Hackathon UX Challenge Espaitec, that will help companies improve and incorporate new ideas into their technological products to improve their usability and design.
