The General Foundation of the Universitat Jaume I and the ASagunto town hall have signed a collaboration agreement to launch a program for the dissemination of research results in Sagunto to improve the transfer of knowledge and innovative programs to companies. The mayor of Sagunto, Darío Moreno, explained that the objective of the agreement is "to ensure that the university understands what the needs of companies are and can provide solutions to those problems that companies encounter in their daily lives." Projects to promote the transfer of technology and knowledge in the province of Castellón

This project, which has the collaboration of the Office of Cooperation in Research and Technological Development of the UJI (OCIT), is framed in the activities of the agreement that was signed last July between the General Foundation of the UJI and the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology between University-Business and support innovative entrepreneurship. Within this agreement, the development of a pilot program to reinforce the dissemination activity is framed, consisting of the launch of a results dissemination antenna in Sagunto, where the public university of Castellón has its headquarters.

The activities planned for this dissemination antenna are the preparation of materials to promote the dissemination of results, the holding of conferences and meetings between University research groups and business groups and the scheduling of visits to companies to detect needs in technology or organizational processes of companies and publicize the advances that are being made in these fields by the University's research groups.

In order to promote the generation of employment and the labor insertion of citizens and therefore increase citizen well-being, the Sagunto City Council, through the Department of Economic Promotion, has launched a development strategy that seeks to improve actions regarding employment and training, promoting entrepreneurship to add more social and economic dynamism in the territory and disseminating innovation in all aspects of economic activity to modernize the local economy.

Projects to favor technology and knowledge transfer in the province of Castellón

This project, with the collaboration of the Cooperation Office for Technological Research and Development (OCIT), is one of the activities in the agreement signed in July between the General UJI Foundation and the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) to promote knowledge and technology transfer between the universities and companies, and to support innovative entrepreneurship. This agreement forms part of the pilot program run to reinforce the diffusion activity, which consists of setting up an antenna to disseminate results in Sagunto, where the public university of Castellón has premises.

The activities planned for this diffusion antenna include preparing materials to favor diffusing results, organizing events and encounters among university research groups and groups of companies, and programming visits to companies to detect their technology requirements or their organizational processes, and to make known the advances made in the fields worked on by university research groups.
