Espaitec is participating in the project Science and Technology in Feminine, An initiative of the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE) which aims to promote scientific and technological vocations at an early age, in order to increase in the future the choice of scientific and technological studies among the young female public.

This program, aimed at students between 1st and 3rd year of ESO, will be carried out throughout the month of October with various institutes in the province, who will have the opportunity to visit an exhibition of relevant women dedicated to science and technology, as well as how to speak in first person with relevant technologists of the Universitat Jaume I , the Gladys Minguez of the UJI Optics Research Group y Amelia Simó, director of theHigher School of Technology and Experimental Sciences, and Espaitec as  Susana Aceituno Company Outcomes'10 e Inma Solis de Biotics Biochemistry Analytical, both companies installed in the Science Park itself.

Share first-person experiences to awaken scientific and technological vocations among girls and adolescents in Castellón

Gladys, Amelia, Inma and Susana will share with the students their experience in the fields of technology and research in order to generate interest in the scientific and technological branch for future vocations of the students, as well as try to help them from the male public, the presence and incorporation of women into the most relevant positions within science and technology is normalized.

These actions will be complemented with the delivery of scientific workshops in the selected institutes. This activity aims to enable students to come into contact with the dynamics called “field work” in any scientific essay that complements its theoretical aspects. The students will record their experiments in a video that will participate in a call for the best national APTE scientific work.

 

 

Four women linked with the Universitat Jaume I will participate this year

Espaitec is participating in the TECHNOLOGY Science and Technology in Feminine, a Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE) initiative that aims to promote scientific and technology vocations from early ages to encourage young female students to choose more science and technology studies.

This program addresses Secondary Education students from years 1 to 3, and takes place in October with several institutes in the province. These students will have the chance to visit an exhibition of relevant women whose careers are based on science and technology, and to talk personally with relevant female technicians from the Jaume I University (UJI) such as: Gladys Minguez from the UJI Optics Research Group and Amelia Simó, the Head of the School of Technology and Experimental Sciences. From Espaitec, we have Susana Aceituno from the company Outcomes'10 and Inma Solís from Biotics Biochemistry Analytical, both of which are based at the Espaitec Park.

Sharing experiences first-hand to awaken scientific and technological vocations in girls and female adolescents from Castellón

Gladys, Amelia, Inma and Susana share their experience with students in the technology and research areas to stimulate their interest in the science and technology area for their future careers, and to also attempt to help men find the presence and inclusion of women in the highest science and technology job posts as normal.

Such actions will be supplemented by science workshops held at the selected institutes. This activity intends students to come into contact with the so-called “fieldwork” dynamics in any scientific assay that supplements its theoretical aspects. The female students will video-record their experiments, which will participate in the APTE call for the best national scientific work.
