Transfer is the European science, technology and innovation forum in which more than 200 representatives of science parks and innovative companies participate.

Espaitec has participated in the 13ª edition of Transfiere, el European science, technology and innovation forum which was held from March 20 to 22 at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga. This is a professional and multisectoral meeting for the knowledge transfer between innovation ecosystems, research entities, companies and public institutions.

The event welcomed more than 200 members of the entities that are part of the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE) as well as various companies that are part of the participating parks. On this occasion, representatives of the Park's technical project team attended on behalf of Espaitec, Laura Menéndez and Alejandro Colonques, and the director of Espaitec Juan A. Bertolin, who took advantage of the opportunity to hold various work meetings with the IMPULSA Technology Park of GijónFUNDECYT of Extremadura or Carthusian PCT, with those who are sharing the APTE Twinning activity. In this sense, it is an initiative that promotes interaction between its partners, exchange of best practices in the management of Scientific and Technological Parks and identification of possible collaborations between companies linked to the entities. 

Thus, according to Bertolín, “Transfer has established itself as the best European marketplace where the most advanced technological solutions from startups, university spin-offs, SMEs and the trend-setting lines of research from the different R&D groups of the companies converge. main universities in the country. Science-technology parks are key dynamization agents of the innovation ecosystem of the territories where they are located, in the transfer process between science and industry, facilitating the generation of innovation to have a real impact on the market and Transfer is the meeting “ideal to enhance its main assets.”

It should be noted that technology companies Abervian, Cebimat e InnoQubit, connected with Espaitec, were selected among the 100 best Spanish startups according to APTE.

Neodys

For its part, the UJI spin-off Molecular Sustainable Solutions, connected with Espaitec, presented at Transfer Neodys, an innovative disinfection and sterilization method that eliminates the need to produce, transport, store and use carcinogenic, mutagenic and explosive chemicals.

In this sense, Carlos Estévez, CEO of the firm, had the opportunity to explain Neodys, the new technology that "will mark a milestone in the sterilization of medical devices, replacing ethylene oxide with an effective and safe alternative, as well as in the disinfection and sterilization in the food, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, allowing rapid and effective processes that significantly reduce water and energy consumption.
