On Wednesday, November 13, the project was presented at Espaitec UJI.>LAB. The manager of the General Foundation of the Jaume I University and project manager, Juan Antonio Bertolin, together with the project technician UJI.>LAB, Francisco Martinez, and the president of the university association hackerspace, Francisco Sayas. The presentation of the project UJI.>LAB has been addressed to the entire university community, giving importance to the function of the FabLabs as important work spaces within the project; since in these creation spaces a methodology will be carried out that allows the creation of various prototypes proposed by the teaching staff and students of the UJI mainly, thus moving from theory to practice. It was possible to know in depth the scope of action, since through Final Degree Projects (TFMs) and Master's Final Projects (TFMs), multidisciplinary solutions can be created that will provide solutions to the challenges proposed. The project UJI.>LAB It is essentially a creative project, born from the need to design technological-based solutions to the different challenges that society demands. This project is linked to the cooperative methodology LivingLab (Quadruple Helix Framework: Industry, Government, University and Society), which encourages European Network of LivingLabs (ENOLL), of which Espaitec has been part of its board of directors since 2011. Regarding the FabLab, its main mission is to convert ideas into real prototypes that can be used by society, therefore tangible solutions are sought that can be developed in future startups. To achieve this, a significant investment has been made in state-of-the-art machinery such as:
- Prusa MK3S 3D Printer
- Formlab Form3 Resin Printer
- Epilog Laser Legend Mini 24 Laser Cutter
- Roland Camm-1 GS-24 Cutting Plotter
- Roland Monofab SRM-20 Precision CNC
- Large Format CNC
